Travis G. Mason serves as VP and Head of Regulatory and Certification for Airbus Urban Mobility. In this role he is accountable for driving the UAM regulation and certification framework, in close collaboration with regulatory bodies and Airbus stakeholders. In addition to his role within Airbus Urban Mobility, he continues to support Acubed, Airbus Aerial, Zephyr, and UAS Cargo. Travis joined Airbus after 6 years at Alphabet and Google, where he focused on public policy issues facing the company’s advanced technology efforts in aviation, renewable energy and life sciences. Travis also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton designing collaborative technology solutions across the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense and State. He earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Michigan and also studied at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government as a Galbraith Scholar. He is a founding board member of the Aspen Institute’s Vanguard Leadership Board and serves on the board of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Policy.
