Bert Williams is an Air Force Strategic Policy Fellow serving in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. As a policy advisor to the Chief Technology Officer of the United States and resident subject matter expert on unmanned aircraft systems, Bert works White House policy for multiple autonomy and transportation related areas. He previously served as an Airpower Strategist at Headquarters Air Force, where he focused on Middle East strategy and helped provide best military advice for senior Air Force leadership. He is a career Air Force MQ-9 instructor pilot with more than 2,200 flying hours, including 1,800 combat hours, and a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. He earned a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master’s in Project Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
