Carissa VanderMey serves as the Senior Advisor for Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As the scientific, technical, and engineering expertise for DHS, S&T provides advice to the Secretary, DHS components, first responders, and members of the Homeland Security Enterprise. In addition, S&T works across the Homeland Security Enterprise to identify operational gaps, identify solutions, and delivers operational results to improve the security and resilience of the nation.
