With 15 years of experience in the industry, Manilay developed her passion for French food and wine at an international level. Her debut in Japan, where she worked for several years, confirmed her interest in promoting French food and wine as well as customizing promotional programs in the name of wine committees.
In 2013, life opportunities brought her family of four to San Francisco. She started her current position as Senior Manager North America – Wine, Beer and Spirits, for Business France, the French Trade Commission in North America in 2015.
In her role, she acts as liaison between professionals of the wine, beer and spirits industry in North America on one side and French producers on the other. With her team spread across the US and Canada, she is deeply invested in serving the industry and matching professionals’ expectations of both continents.
She thrives on guiding French exporters in navigating and expanding their business into the complex American and Canadian alcohol beverage market. She is also keen on creating wine and spirits tasting roadshows, customized prospections, sourcing programs, let alone promotional programs in collaboration with French wine region committees just to name a few, aiming at fostering and supporting sustainable French export growth.
